When you think Red Faction, what food immediately comes to mind?  If your first thought was a Mars bar (hopefully by noticing my very subtle picture above), you're correct!  For the past week here on the Red Faction Underground, we've been telling all of you that we had BIG plans for San Diego Comic Con, and we're going to start it off with a bang.

In celebration of San Diego Comic Con and our upcoming release of Red Faction: Armageddon, set on celestial Mars, Major League Eater Joey Chestnut (He's won the Nathan's Hot Dog eating competition the past 4 years!)  will ravage through a heap of Mars Bars as he strives to set a new Guinness World Records® achievement for Most Chocolate Bars to Be Eaten in One Minute. The record breaking event will take place at the Tin Fish Restaurant, directly across from the Comic Con convention, on July 22nd at 1:30 pm PST, and be overseen by Guinness World Records Editor-in-Chief Craig Glenday, who will act as the record officiator.

Additional Major League Eating (MLE) competitors Pat Bertoletti and Eater X will be joining Chestnut for this challenge and will each individually strive to claim the Guinness World Records title for their own. Directly following the one minute record attempt portion of the event, the competitors will reconvene and go head to head to see who can eat the most Mars Bars in five minute competition sanctioned by MLE, the governing body of stomach-centric sport.

If you're down in San Diego later this week for Comic Con, be sure to stop by the Tin Fish restaurant on Thursday, and maybe you'll be able to snag a free Mars bar - or at least what's left of one after the carnage.
