Just curious as to how the game mode plays out. Is it another "Horde" mode or something unique? I saw the gameplay trailer, but it barely showed me enough to make my first thoughts on it.

(P.S. I'm only asking because I live in North America, since the game was released in Europe on the 3rd, I have to wait until the 7th to try the mode for myself)

I haven't played it but yeah it's most closely related to Gears 2's "Horde" mode. Check out some gamplays on Youtube.

It looks quite fun but I still won't be getting it day 1 like I did for RFG.

I've yet to play it, but I think it looks good. Only once you have new weapons and upgrades and stuff though. The mix of different skills and weapons aswell as the destruction makes it look more interesting than some other wave modes I've seen. If you're playing co-op you could play certain roles to an extent. For example you or a teamate could have a defensive loadout and carry mines, shotgun, assault rifles and defensive nanoforge abilities, and similarly, an attacking loadout with different explosives etc.

Could be good I rekon.

I was playing it as soon as I finished the campaign today (I need to stop getting so hyped about games- even if in this case it was definitely worth it to pull an all-nighter!) and I have to say... It's a lot of fun. You simply cannot beat an assault rifle/shotgun + shockwave combo when it comes to kicking some bug butt. My steam name is OrophinTheWhite if you want to quick-add (the + sign at the bottom of your steam friends window).

I had a good team going- we got pretty high up there in the levels before my PC decided to poop out. First bug with the game, but I'm not too upset as I had been playing it for a good six-seven hours by then.

I'm rambling.

So sleepy.

I think Infestation is great, I played one match for over an hour last night, just me and two other guys on assault(can't remember which map). I think we went from wave 1 up to 20, when I realized I had shit to do and turned it off for a bit.

It's pretty crazy when you start getting 2 or 3 of those big guys coming at you with all the other little bastards jumping all over the place. Many a time came when I ran out of ammo and was forced to start throwing around pieces of debris to defend myself. I friggin' love the magnet gun.

I didn't play it yet and i just wanted to know if it was easy to get to round 20 or was still hard?

Infustation mode is great, depending on the difficulty chosen depends on how difficult it is to pass through waves. If the difficulty chosen is Insane, I doubt it will be 'passing' through, but probably 'mauling' through.

Sorry for the slow reply, I was playing on normal, so it was fairly easy to make it there(the difficulty levels range from "easy" to "insane", same as the Campaign. I'm not sure if you can just pick any level of difficulty and give it a go, or if you have to complete prior levels of difficulty first. I imagine you can just choose whichever difficulty you like).

There were some crazy moments though where if we hadn't used teamwork we surely wouldn't have made it that far. Only reason we didn't go further was cuz I had to get off.

There was one point where those big green and fire-y guys were stomping towards our dead-end defense point, and I did a last minute side-roll off a short cliff into a swarm of the smaller aliens. Whipped out the dual pistols and started blasting like crazy.

It felt fucking epic.

Then I got blown away by consecutive long-ranged attacks and had to get revived by one of my teammates, who apparently had held off the attack on our defense point, while I ran away...

A fun thing I like to do is take defense in a building of some kind and just hold off attacks, trying to repair the structure as it gets damaged. It keeps the long range attackers off your back when things start getting intense, but those teleporting fuckers will surprise the shit out of you if your not ready with an Impact blast or good weapon.
