Hmmm, interesting.

From what i can make of the files, with a little bit of work I reckon we could do a DOW2 here at the very least in terms of "scope" of mods.

Do you know if RFG has a " -mod" compatibility in the shortcuts? or a " -dev"?

The latter would be usefull, like in DOW2 since it would lock out the possibilty of cheating in MP...assuming so that it also logs you out of GFWL lol.

I took a quick look at the command line params earlier. Doesn't look like there's any sort of official mod support. :/

Possibly a 3rd party program must be made to allow for this.

I'm sure we can easily re-purpose the DLC checking stuff to add new content (dlc01-03 are not hardcoded).

Good point.

Sounds like a plan. We'll also have to investigate how DLC affects multiplayer (if at all).

Goober and I are working to set up a modding wiki - it should be online in a few hours.

Just had a look at the SR2 tools, yeah such a pain ><

Speaking of which...would the methodology of how "trainers" work suffice any results or help in any way towards the cause?

I'm guessing not since they alter game memory right down to the hex level =\.

Ah well lol.

gibbed is working on RF:G tools. You can check them out from his SVN but you'll need to compile them yourself.

Pop into our IRC channel (#factionfiles on GameSurge) if you've got questions, problems, or want to chat :P
