What is all this based on? Were the developers trying to mimic any specific nation or city when they made this game?

"Miners, this is Eos, leader of the Red Faction. Our time has come. Workers in mine M4 have started the rebellion and are dying for you as we speak!"

Yes of course i love how they portray the USSR, I love it Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics. Well as you see in the game they use propaganda for the common wealth or middle class people if so. Think back in the Communist Era thats what it is.

Hmm, so they were trying to portray Stalin and the U.S.S.R. but why use the Commonwealth?
