The team behind Red Faction Guerrilla wants to ensure that everyone has a joyful holiday, and we’re going to push the limits. Do you fall into any of the following categories?
- Achievement/Trophy Hunter
- Leaderboard Aficionado
- Demolitions Expert
- Unexplained affinity for Sledgehammers or Ostriches
If so, then this event is for you. Instead of the usual double or less frequent triple XP that most games run, we’re launching our
“Get Your Ass Back to Mars” Event with a bang by giving all players on 360 and PS3
five full days worth of quintuple XP. You read that correctly,
5x XP for 5 entire days across every mode from Anarchy to Siege.
For the Achievement/Trophy Hunter in all of you, it’s now easier than ever to earn 50 points or get that Gold trophy for 100,000 XP. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can push on a little farther and obtain 120,000 XP in order to obtain the legendary Ostrich Hammer. If you’ve never played Red Faction Guerrilla’s multiplayer yet, this is your chance. A new account under quintuple XP settings will earn approximately 10 unlocks after just a single game!
But that’s not all! Starting this week - and throughout the event - on our official Twitter account (
@RedFaction), we’re giving away some free DLC codes for each console. Follow along to receive updates for when the individual codes will be posted to our account and have a chance to grab them before anyone else. Each of our 3 packages will be given away to a handful of lucky fans.
The
“Get Your Ass Back to Mars” event runs from Thursday, December 17th (starting around Noon PST) until end of day on Monday, December 21st.

Honest to say, i thought that i'd never be able to reach the 100,000, but to start the even the DAY ARMY OF TWO DEMO COMES OUT! tsk tsk tsk, im upset at that =P whatever, and you guys should give me a wrecking crew or multiplayer dlc code ;)

Woah I had thought you guys cut support for the game but wow what a nice update. I'll be sure to play this week.
Yeh I'll play this later for that 100,000XP achievement. I lost interest in the game a long time ago when I found out they were never going to add the reconstructor gun in SP. God knows why.
So this is 8pm GMT, right? Why is it that every damn site posts American time zones. Ugh, so irritating constantly having to go to another website to figure out what time it is where I live. American times =/= world times. Is it really so hard to just post all the American times and GMT?
Times are always posted according to local time.
Also, the 360 5x XP is now ACTIVE. PS3 was just sent out and should be active in about 20-30 min.

Since its Xmas why don't you make the MP DLC free. No one is playing it anyways, so might as well make it possible to play team bagman and the new maps once in a while...
If Volition Sants's generous - and too many of those who already paid for the MP DLC complain - you could also give a DLC to those who already paid for the MP DLC. Kind of a compensation for the MS points used and the months of nobody playing I guess...
We the PC-lings are playing the MP DCL for free and you don't know what you are missing, bagman modes are a blast and the maps are way better. The only drawback is that all the other gamemodes are not played because this criminally broken matchmaking (and lack of dedicated servers) killed the MP of this game and we don't get enough players.
Hopefully this brings back the players, great stuff. Just intime too, I just got my new 120g slim and all my stats got wiped.

Is it consoles only or is it working on the pc version too? i played a couple of games but didn't see any difference in the xp awarded :(
