Through a collaboration between THQ and SyFy, we are proud to announce the first details on Red Faction: Origins!
Red Faction: Origins will be a two hour live-action movie pilot scheduled to air in March 2011 on SyFy. The story of Red Faction: Origins follows the lineage of rebel hero Alec Mason and the Mason family, set during a period between Red Faction: Guerrilla and Red Faction: Armageddon.
The Red Faction: Origins screenplay was written by notable writer and producer Andrew Kreisberg (Warehouse 13, Fringe, Vampire Diaries and Boston Legal), based on a story developed by Paul DeMeo (The Rocketeer, Flash, Viper, The Sentinel), THQ Director, Fiction Development.
Red Faction: Origins will also be one of the main talking points in our RFA Transmedia panel at Comic Con on Saturday July 24th. Remember that we have an open call for Community Q&A specifically concerning this panel, so ask any questions you may have about Origins over in this thread.
As always, stay tuned to the front page for more news and come join us over in the forums to discuss everything Red Faction related.

Interesting. Will you post it/a link to it here?
I have dibs on the LEO.
I'm glad you chose to use the period between RFA and RFG for the movie (since it was called Origins I thought it might be based off RF 1, which wouldn't have been bad either) and I'm also glad it's a made-for-TV-movie since it's really hard to criticize something you didn't pay for. As long as it brings a glimpse of entertainment then people will like it.
PSN ID: Seventy_X_Seven, Red Faction: Guerrilla day one owner, long time fan of Red Faction since PS2. Platinum in RFG.
Red Faction: Armageddon, Volition loves to mess with people who can't spell. As if Guerrilla didn't cause enough spelling errors already

They have released some photos of the movie. Looking really interesting. I hope it's amazing! =D
I think they should've shaved their heads so it works with Alec and Darius's touch =P
