Starting yesterday, the initial beta for Red Faction: Battlegrounds went live on the PlayStation Network for a select number of PlayStation Plus subscribers.  While we'd obviously like to get as many players in and testing out the game as possible, we do have to keep it somewhat small so that the proper network testing can be completed within the two weeks the servers are active.

If you didn't get an invite yet in your PSN mailbox, all is not lost.  Over the next few days, we'll be giving out a handful of keys to some lucky community members.  All that we ask in return is that you come back to the forum and provide us with some feedback about your time spent in Battlegrounds over the next two weeks.

Please note that this is only for community members with a PlayStation 3 and an internet connection. 

With the formalities out of the way, all you need to do for the chance to get a Beta key is to post your PSN username in the comment thread below, and let us know what excites you about Red Faction Battlegrounds.  Below is a video showcasing some of the awesome 4-player vehicular combat you'll experience while playing the game.  You can also get more information on the game at http://www.RedFactionBattlegrounds.com.  I'll be choosing 6 people later tonight to receive keys, and then more on Thursday and Friday.

The Red Faction: Battlegrounds Beta period will end on October 19th.
